The ICC Cricket World Cup, generally referred to as the Cricket World Cup, is the premier international championship of men's One-day International (ODI) cricket. The event is organised by the sport's governing body, the International Cricket Council (ICC) and is held every four years. The first Cricket World Cup contest was organised in England in 1975. A Women's Cricket World Cup is also held every four years; the first Women's World Cup was held in 1973.




The most recent Cricket World Cup was held between 17 February and 2 April 2011, in India,Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.The 14 participating teams in the 10th ICC Cricket World Cup comprise of two groups,Group A and Group B. .
